'I am immensely proud of these wonderful young ladies after the battling display and holding their nerve to win the county cup. The game was incredibly tight and one in which the conditions did not suit their passing game. Great teams adapt and overcome and that’s exactly what they did. Every single player gave 100% and they all contributed at different times at the right time. There were outstanding performances across the pitch but I want to call out Millie in goal. Saving the match winning penalty but before celebrating she hugged the opposition GK ❤️. It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice.
